Who we are

Devlin Miller - Service Manager/Senior Biomedical Technician

Devlin has been working within the Biomedical industry since 2000 and prior to this was working within the Australian Defence Force. Devlin commenced his Army career as a Medic. Devlin’s role was working in hyperbaric medicine. His Anatomy and Physiology knowledge is extensive and he was required to undertake very specialised training to be able to support divers who may have decompression sickness.

After 10 years, he stepped sideways and commenced electronics training within the Aviation section of the army. The combination of medical and electronics training made the transition to Biomedical Service and repair a natural choice when Devlin retired as a Sergeant from the Army.

Devlin has had Certified Training on the below equipment

• Melag, Lisa & Cominox Sterilizer training,
• Ferno training to Level A standard,
• Stryker equipment training,
• Rapp Australia training on Allied Oxygen equipment,
• Sterad training,
• Lifepak 12 Defibrillator 
• ADEC Dental Equipment.
• Devlin has also completed the Biomedical Technicians Certificate course through the NSW TAFE College.  
• Electrical Test & Tag
• His Restricted Electrical Licence No is 96931.

Devlin has also completed Certificate IV in Business (Small Business Management) component BSB SBM401A - Establish business and legal requirements.

Jane Miller - Managing Director/Sales Manager

Jane is a Registered Nurse who has been working within the Medical industry for over 25 years.

Jane has worked in the fields of general medical & surgical Nursing, GP Practice, Operating Theatres, Day Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Services. Jane regularly facilitates training on Sterilization Techniques in accordance with AS/NZS4815.  She assists many customers with Policy and Procedure around Sterilization for Practice accreditation and for choosing the correct sterilizer to suit the equipment being used in the practice.  Jane can also assist with Track and Traceability systems. 

Jane has trained in

• Certificate IV in  Assessment and Workplace Training
• ADEC Sales Training held at Newberg, Oregon, USA for training on ADEC Dental equipment in 2005 & 2009. 
• Management Systems Auditing (Internal Auditor)
• Repair of Kavo Dental Handpieces.

Brendan Stent – Biomedical Technician/OH&S Officer

Brendan trained as Advanced Medical Assistant in the Australian Army and specialized in Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support and Aviation Crash Rescue during his 11 years of Service.  Brendan is a specialist in Dental Equipment Installation, Service and Repair. 

Brendan has had Certified Training on the below equipment

• Melag, Lisa & Cominox Sterilizer training,
• Ferno training to Level A standard,
• Stryker equipment training,
• Rapp Australia training on Allied Oxygen equipment,
• Sterad training, Carto XP & ACIST auto injector,
• Lifepak 12 Defibrillator 
• Training in Germany on Sirona and Durr equipment and
• Training in the USA on ADEC Equipment.
• Brendan has also completed the Biomedical Technicians Certificate course through the NSW TAFE College.

Jagath Hettiarachchi – Senior Biomedical Technician

Jagath Hettiarachchi commenced working with us in January 2008.

Jagath completed training as an Electronics Technician specialising in Biomedical equipment in Sri Lanka in 1993. He has brought a wealth of knowledge and over 15 years experience to our Company and has been trained on a full range of electro Medical Equipment.

Jagath specialises in fault finding and is very proficient in installation, assemblage, service and repair of circuitry of electro Medical equipment.

Jagath has had Certified Training on the below equipment

Zach Hale - Apprentice

Zach commenced working with MDSNQ in October 2007.

Zach has Certified Training on the below:

 Zach is studying towards a Cert III in Electrotechnology Systems - Electrician.

Caitlin Byrne - Office Manager/Quality Manager

Caitlin has completed the first 2 years of a Bachelor of Business Degree at James Cook University, majoring in Tourism Management, and has been awarded a Diploma of Business from her studies. 

Caitlin also has Management Systems Auditing (Internal Auditor) training.

Caitlin is responsible for maintaining our customer service data base, ensuring that your Service requirements are attended to in a timely manner and handles all Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Advertising/Marketing Material development and distribution and Manages our Quality System. Caitlin also yearly recall so that your annual servicing is not forgotten. For any enquiries, please don't hesitate to contact our office.  

Cassandra Brooks - Administration Assistant

Cassandra commenced working with us in May 2009 and is currently studying for her Cert III in Business Systems.  Cassandra will direct your call to the appropriate team member.
